Rugged Tactical Power Products
Energy Technologies' (ETI) products are the standard
in rugged, high-reliability power conditioning for
defense, industrial, medical and telecommunications
sectors. These modular products are in use around the
world including Intelligent UPS, Power Inverters, PDUs,
Power Conditioners, Frequency Converters, DC backup/battery
systems and Portable Generators.
ETI
offers a wide range of products, but this site focuses
on our TacticalPower® line.
The rugged TacticalPower Series of AC and DC power
conditioning and generating products are readily
deployable worldwide quickly providing the Warfighter
with dependable computer-grade power for all C4ISR
applications or medical-grade power for triage in
the field.
Power
Inverters: Unlike
other power inverter solutions, the TacticalPower true
sinewave inverters are self contained and
can be quickly setup in the field without any
tools. Standard NATO Slave cables allow quick
connection to any HMMWV, Stryker, Abrams or other Tactical Vehicles
bringing AC online in less than 2 minutes.
Power
Conditioners: Where
some form of local AC power is available, whether
good or bad, ETI's global power conditioners
convert any world voltage and frequency into
clean, true sinewave 50, 60 or 400 hertz AC power;
allowing computer and communications equipment
to be reliably used anywhere in the world. Optional
battery modules convert each of these units into
a full featured UPS increasing the overall power
availability even during severe power sags and
interruptions.
Global
UPS: Designed
to be deployed anywhere in the world, these Global
UPS units provide highly reliable AC and/or DC
computer grade power. These units can operate
from in-country AC, generator AC or aircraft
AC, regardless of voltage or frequency. Some
models can also derive power from vehicular or
aircraft DC.
Each
of the Tactical Inverters, Power Conditioners and
UPS is available in a variety of sizes and configurations
from the light weight TacticalBriefcase™ versions
which can operate one or more sets of computer and
communications gear; up to the higher capacity TacticalRack™
transit case versions that handle larger C4ISR needs.
Portable Generators: Unlike
most generators, these light weight, portable generators
produce computer grade AC power. In addition, most
of these units are designed to use jet (JP-8, JP-5)
and diesel (DF-1, DF-2) fuels. These fuels are usually
more readily available in the field. Plus, the military's "One
Fuel Forward Initiative" encourages the use
of JP-8 fuel only for land based deployments and
JP-5 for those at sea.
Portable
Solar Power: These
light weight, portable solar power products produce
computer grade DC and/or AC power. The TacticalSolar® line
includes rugged solar panels, solar charge controllers,
battery chargers/eliminators and solar UPS units
in several power ratings and configurations.
