ETI's Rugged Reliable Tactical Power® Products
Energy Technologies' (ETI) products are the standard in rugged, high-reliability power conditioning for the defense, industrial, medical and telecommunications sectors. These modular products are in use around the world including Intelligent UPS, Power Inverters, PDUs, Power Conditioners, Frequency Converters, Portable Generators, Solar & Wind Energy, Fuel Cells, Energy Storage and Micro Grid Controllers.
ETI offers a wide range of products, but this site focuses primarily on our Tactical Power® lines. The rugged Tactical Power Series of power conditioning, generating, distribution, energy storage and associated products are readily deployable worldwide, quickly providing the Warfighter with dependable computer-grade power and/or medical-grade power for use in the field.
Tactical UPS® & Global Power Conditioners: Designed to be deployed anywhere in the world, where some form of local AC power is available, ETI's global UPS and power conditioners convert any world voltage and frequency into clean, true sinewave 50, 60 or 400 hertz AC power; allowing computers, communications equipment and other critical gear to be reliably operated anywhere in the world. Optional battery modules convert our power conditioners into full featured UPS increasing the overall power availability even during severe power sags and interruptions. These global UPS units provide highly reliable AC and/or DC power while meeting either computer-grade or medical-grade requirements. Some models can derive power from both available AC or vehicular DC.
Tactical Inverters®: Unlike other power inverter solutions, these true sinewave inverters are self contained and can be quickly setup in the field without any tools. They are available in portable case-mounted, fixed-mount or rack-mount packaging; multiple input and output voltages in a wide range of power ratings. Standard Anderson and/or NATO Slave Cables allow quick connection to most Tactical or First Responder vehicles, bringing AC online in less than 2 minutes.
Tactical Vehicle Power®: These UPS, Inverter and Converter solutions are designed for use on tactical vehicles. This includes products that are capable of cleaning up the vehicle DC power and providing battery backup while submerged in water!
Tactical Generators®: Unlike most engine-generators, these light weight, Tactical Generators® produce computer grade AC or DC power. In addition, most of these units are designed to use jet (JP-8, JP-5) and diesel (DF-1, DF-2) fuels. These fuels are usually more readily available in the field. Tactical Power Plant® versions combine the benefits of the generator, UPS and ATS into a single deployable package.
Tactical Solar® Power: These light weight, portable solar power products produce computer grade DC and/or AC power. The Tactical Solar line includes rugged flexible and rigid solar panels, solar charge controllers, battery chargers/eliminators and solar UPS units in several power ratings and configurations.
Tactical Solar Shelter®: These shelter flys are mounted above either soft-wall shelters (tents) or rigid-wall shelters (ISO shelters/shipping containers). Their integrated solar panels are used to produce electrical power while the overall covering provides solar shading. This shading combined with the insulating air gap between the covering and the shelter reduces the solar heat gain on the shelters, thus reducing the amount of energy needed to cool the shelter.
Tactical Wind Turbine® Generators: These light weight, portable wind turbines generate computer grade DC and/or AC power. The Tactical Wind Turbine line includes rugged generators, charge controllers and telescopic masts in several power ratings and configurations.
Power Distribution Units: come in all shapes and sizes to meet ETI's customer requirements. Features range from simplistic to sophisticated intelligence, from local control to remote control, from commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) to entirely custom.
Tactical Fuel Cells®: operate on hydrogen and oxygen to provide clean, efficient electrical power with only water and heat as byproducts. ETI's Fuel Cell Power Plant (FPP) can address global inputs and global outputs allowing it to be deployed anywhere in the world and used with any electronic equipment.
Tactical Micro Grid®: manages power generation, power conditioning, energy storage and power distribution for scalable power installations via an intelligent distributed control network.
Tactical Cables® & Accessories: A variety of power and communications cables including standard and custom NATO Slave cables.
Tactical Environmental Control Units (TECU): are available to meet your heating and cooling needs. Built into rugged enclosures, these rugged, portable heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems (HVAC) can be used to control the temperature and humidity of vital electronics or shelters. Units can be powered by AC or optionally by AC and/or DC.
Tactical Refrigerator Freezer (TRF) and Tactical Ice Maker (TIM): Built into rugged enclosures, the portable refrigerator/freezer units will keep perishables, including food and medical supplies, at the proper temperatures. The hardened ice making units will produce 22 pounds of ice cubes per day. Both the TRF and TIM are available with AC and/or DC inputs. They are also available with solar panels in the transit case covers as a primary power source.
Tactical Computer Workstation®: ETI’s transportable computing solutions will allow you to continue your vital work in the field. These products are designed to reliably operate in harsh environments from multiple AC or DC power sources, internal long duration batteries, or even solar panels.
Tactical Field Office®: A complete office system that provides the conveniences of a modern office packaged to be deployed at a moment's notice anywhere in the world. The system is comprised of various modules that can be configured to meet the specific needs of the application.
